Figure Drawing FAQ
-
Each long-pose spans three days, with individual sittings of 20–22 minutes. Short 5-minute breaks are for the model, while a longer 15-minute break in the middle allows you to stretch, walk around, or check your work. Once the pose begins, please respect the space and return promptly to your drawing.
-
You’re welcome to bring any materials you prefer, as sessions are uninstructed. Please be mindful of others—strong odors from oil paints or certain mediums can be disruptive, and hazardous or potentially damaging materials are not allowed.
-
No experience is required. The class is non-instructed and open to anyone interested in figure drawing.
-
You may freely use and share your own artwork. Photography of the model, other students’ work, or the session itself is prohibited unless you have clear, expressed consent.
-
Our studio is designed for an optimal drawing experience, with ample lighting and space. Because the room isn’t enormous, we use a booking system to manage front-row (seated) and back-row (standing) positions. Front-row seats allow seated work with an unobstructed view, while easels in the back row are ideal for standing students. Note: it may be challenging to work seated at a back-row easel due to limited sightlines.
-
Yes! We provide ample storage, so you can safely leave your art supplies at the studio instead of carrying them back and forth.
